Why is the current price in the Market Alert table different from the mini chart price

The Mini Chart updates during the trading session, but the Market Alert Table uses EOD data to calculate its indicators. This is because we need an accurate picture of the outcome of the trading day for the Market Alerts and Market Heat. However, the intra-day index price is always valid. Monitoring the market direction intra-day indicates which way the next Market Alert signal is likely to move. If the market is trading down today, the Market Alert table direction can be anticipated.
